‘THROWBACK THURSDAY’ Bridal Makeup for a Blue Jay’s Bride

By December 12, 2013Bridal, Throw Back Thursday

Last year I had the honor of glamming up a bride named Kim who just happened to be marrying former Major League Baseball player Roberto Alomar.  Although the wedding was on a Wednesday once you realize the significance of the date it all made sense.  They ended up tying the knot on 12-12-12.

Any Toronto Blue Jays fans would immediately note that ’12’ was Roberto’s number.  And currently the #12 banner proudly hangs in the Rogers Centre because the Blue Jays retired that number after Roberto was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

roberto alomar I met with Kim about a month before the date to do a trial on herself and her beautiful 15-year old daughter.  For someone marrying a baseball legend you would never know, Kim was super nice and down to earth.  She wanted a simple look with fresh looking skin that we could easily transition into more of an evening/glam look for the dinner.   The color themes of the wedding were white, black and royal blue.  Wedding planner extraordinaire-Melissa Andre transformed the AGO into a winter wonderland for the ceremony and reception.  Check out this video to get a glimpse of the fabulous day!

For Kim’s makeup we decided on a palette of cooler toned colors that would compliment this theme.  For her eyes I used MAC eyeshadows in Brule, Seedy Pearl, Sketch and Carbon and lined her eyes with Blacktrack Fluidline.

Her glowing skin was created using a combo of MAC’s Select Cover up, Face Atelier‘s Ultra Foundation and Mineralize Skinfinish Natural-also from MAC.

Kim also liked more of a soft lip so we ended up using a lustre lipstick from MAC called Syrup which I mixed with lip balm.

Kim changed her dress for the evening and I bumped up her makeup by adding more of Carbon eyeshadow and strengthening the contours of her face using Rimmel‘s Bronzer in Sun Dance.

It was such a magical wedding to be participate in and it was pretty cool to be there watching it all unfold with other baseball greats like Cito Gaston and Kelly Gruber.

I tweeted to Roberto today to say Happy Anniversary to him and Kim and he tweeted back a sweet message:

That tweet made my day!

Thanks Robbie and Kim for letting me be part of your big day.   I wish you all the best for years to come!!!

In today’s digital age, navigating the online landscape can sometimes feel like trekking through a treacherous wilderness. Lately, I found myself ensnared in a web of deceit spun by a group of frvudsters, leaving me feeling helpless and devastated. However, amidst the chaos, I stumbled upon a beacon of hope – COINS RECOVERY WORLDWIDE a recovery agency that would become my saving grace.
From the moment I reached out to them, their team exuded professionalism and empathy. They listened attentively as I recounted my harrowing ordeal, offering reassurance and guidance every step of the way. It took us only 18 hours to recover my entire pension which i initially lost.
their impact extended far beyond mere financial restitution. In the midst of despair, they provided a beacon of light, restoring my faith in humanity and reaffirming that goodness still exists in this digital wilderness. Their unwavering dedication to their clients is nothing short of commendable, and I am eternally grateful for their invaluable assistance. Just as i promised, i will always give reviews about them if i see a chance to, just incase theres anyone who is going through such situation like i did, below is there lines of communication.
